Since that time, for almost 100 years, Kuskovo has been a bright example of"summer residence of country Entertainment". After the death of P. B. Sheremetev in 1788, under his heir Nikolai Petrovich Sheremetev, the greatest state, social and cultural figure of Russia of the XVIII century, Kuskovo was carefully maintained and preserved as an exemplary country estate.
